Hougen Marion F. (3 AUG 1929)
We are the recipients of an announcement wherein Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Hougen announce the marriage of Mr. Hougen’s sister, Marion Floy Hougen, to Mr. Fred Brockman, Saturday, Aug. 3, 1929 at Oconto Falls. They were married that afternoon at 4 o’clock by Rev. Thompson of Gillette, an old friend of the family. Mr. and Mrs. Hougen acted as witnesses. After the ceremony Mrs. Thompson served a wedding luncheion.
The young couple will spend their honeymoon in the northern Wisconsin Lake region.
Mrs. Brockman has taught in Valders the past four years and Mr. Brockman is instructor and band director in the high school there, his home being at Platteville, Wis.
Marion has visited the Hougens here (Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis.) during her vacations and made many friends among our town folks who rejoice in her joy and wish her and the mate she has chosen the best that life may hold for them. Mr. Brockman has been in Dorchester, and few people met him but we are sure Marion would choose nothing but the best, and we join the rest in extending congratulations.
